West Haven Real Estate Market Conditions
West Haven's real estate market is on the decline just like much of the rest of the state of Utah. 2010 home sales are down from 2009 with only 143 homes sold as compared to 159 in 2009, a decrease of 10.1%. As home sales decrease, the price of homes starts to go down, and this was the case over the last year.
In 2010 the average price of homes sold was $211,415 down from 2009 of $224,863, a decline of 6%. The reason for the decline in the average would be the amount of homes sold over the $200,000 mark. In 2010 there were only 66 homes sold over 200k while in 2009 there were 84, making quite a difference in pricing.
Currently, as of April 1st, 2011 there are 93 homes active on the market with 16 total homes sold in the first quarter. These homes were sold at an average price of $245,689 which is up quite a bit from last years numbers. But, at this time last year, there were 32 total home sales, so the market is quite behind overall.
