Neighborhood Information

Hidden Village on Sumac Drive in Logan Utah is quiet and secluded neighborhood with homes varying in price depending on many factors. The location of the home, as some are on the Logan River, is the largest factor in determing the price. Homes on the River don't come along often, and if that's your cup of tea, you may want to keep track of housing trends in this neighborhood. 

A little bit about the neighborhood surroundings. Homes are well hidden behind large-overgrown trees and shrubbery. The seclusion is very nice for privacy and compliments the area well. The University is just a few blocks from the area up the hill making this location convenient for students. Views are a bit limited as you sit behind a hill, so that may be a drawback depending on your personal preferance. 

All homes were built prior to 2004 with most home being constructed in the 1970's. There are approximately sixty to seventy homes total along Sumac Drive including Sumac Circle, Fox Road, and onto Thrushwood Drive. Living in Logan and the Cache Valley area for most of my life, I can tell you specifically, this neighborhood is great for peice and quiet, and is a great place to enjoy our beatiful city. 

Amenitites to the neighborhood include a small local park where you can enjoy a nice picnic or play some volleyball in the sandpit on a warm summer day. Just up the road you can go fishing and swimming at First Dam, or continue up Logan Canyon to explore the many hiking and biking trails in our majestic mountain scenery. 

Home prices range from $130,000 to $400,000 with a variety of choices in housing styles. There are custom built luxury homes to one level single family starter homes. Fully mature yards and exquisite greens abound across the entire area providing solice from the hustle and bustle. A home on Sumac Drive in the Hiddel Village neighborhood of Logan, UT is a great choice for any home buyer.

Jr. High students from 6th-8th grade will attend Mount Logan Middle School located at 875 North 200 East in Logan, Utah. Mount Logan is above average with a rating of 7 out of 10 from GreatSchools.org. Students will enjoy a teacher ratio of 1:19 providing a great learning environment. Total students in attendance is 1,313.

High School students from 9th-12th grade will attend Logan High School located at 162 W 100 S in Logan, Utah. Logan High School is slightly above average with a rating of6 out of 10 from GreatSchools.org. Students will enjoy a student to teacher ratio of 1:23. Total students in attendace is 1,709. 

The Logan Utah real esate market is broken up in to two different tiers. Homes below $250,000 are showing descent sales activity although slowed since the peak in 2007. Homes above the $250,000 mark are a different story. Sales are sluggish as buyers wait for prices to stablize.
