Brigham City Information
Brigham city is a small town located in Northern, Utah south of Sardine Canyon. With little more than 19,000 people and located on highway 89 just a few miles off of I-15, it's only 55 miles to Salt Lake City providing easy access to Utah's capitol. Brigham City homes are located in dense areas providing excellent areas to setup local businesses.
Brigham's historic heritage is provided by the unique history of the Box Elder county area. With ATK Thiokol Propulsion Space Shuttle Rocket Display and the Golden Spike National Historic Site, where the final spike of the first transcontinental railroad was driven into the ground, Brigham City's historic resonance is only matched by it's outdoor vibrancy providing a great incentive to invest in Brigham City real estate.
Residents enjoy the close proximity to Willard Bay State Park, a large stretch of water for boating, water skiing, and some great fishing. Mantua Reservoir is just North through sardine canyon, and although the reservoir is a smaller body of water than the bay, a commercial real estate endevour near the canyon could be just the location you're looking for to open up that new restaurant.
Business & Industrial Demographics
Brigham City is home to a Crystal Inn Hotel and Suites, a Howard Johnson Motel, and a few other smaller Inn's providing an abundant supply of tourism outlets. There's plenty of restaurants from drive-ins to fast food, and a few fine dining establishments sprinkled from one end of town to the other.
The close proximity to the bumbling I-15 corridor provides plenty of business to local gas stations and convenience stores, not to mention the large car lots housing many vehicles for local residents to choose from. To view Brigham City land in the area, click the link.
Since 1904, Peach City, a local restaurant, has held the longest continually celebrated harvest festival in the state of Utah. Peach Days, started as a day-off from harvest time, and has exploded into a spectacle more than 75,000 people attend every year, which is great for local business.
Population & Future Growth
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Box Elder County supports a population of 53,885 with an absolute population change from 2002 of 10,772 people; a 25% growth. Brigham's projected population is 19,987 at the end of 2010 with 17,215 people in 2000, that's a 16.7% growth rate. Box Elder county has a projected growth in 2030 of 63,000 people.
Box Elder county is known for a progressive stance on both industrial and small business growth. Over the next 50 years, the county plans to maintain it's current level of retention and expansion in value-added marketing and business recruitment activities in a manor that is sensitive to the natural environment.
As Box Elder county continues to grow, both in residential real estate and commercial business, many business owners will be happy with the profits and friendly tax incentives supporting the bottom line. The LDS Temple, currently being built, will bring a number of tourism groups, new demographics, and will provide a great incentive for people new to the area to take up root.
With the growth of population, the continued pressure from the county regulators to increase business productivity, one can be sure; Brigham City is a great place for Utah business owners to setup shop.
